Comments:

I moved to NM after highschool, got my Real Estate license and realized that I wasn't ready to grow up quite yet. I moved back to CO where Steve Ingrum rented me a room in a house that his Dad owned and finished his multi-yeared multi-coarsed plan to thouroughly corrupt me (though at first successful, the corrupt can be reformed). I worked at a music store (Sound Warehouse) and quickly worked into a management position with them and stayed with them through 1994.

In 1990 I met my wife and we married in 1993. I moved to Kittredge Colorado in 1991 with Latania and her (now mine as well) two daughters. I have Kim Hikkens (SHHS class of 84) and the Grateful Dead to thank for meeting her. While in NM the Dead became a major musical influence and at an event mourning the loss of Dead keyboardest Brent Mydland, Kim was celebrating her 24th birthday. I hadn't seen her in years. That night, she and another Smoky alum, Kerry Mitman (SHHS class of 81) who I also hadn't seen in years both separately introduced me to Latania, or Tami as she was then known. She literally swept me off my feet that night and 18 years later, we're as happy as ever with a family that now includes 4 Grandkids (they call me Gramps).

We now live in an old cabin in Conifer that we bought in 1998 and gutted, renovated, and added on to. We have 2 secluded acres with a pond.

After leaving Sound Warehouse in 1994 I had a plan to open a bagel bakery in Evergreen and went to work for an upstart bagel chain (The Bagel Stop). I took my retail management skills and opening 3 stores for them in 9 months. At that time, they were purchased by Enstein Bros. and me vowing to never work for a corporation again went my own way. During this time, two bagel shops opened in Evergreen and I was searching for my next career move.

I had a friend that was a builder and asked if I was interested in learning the carpentry trade. I went to work with him and after building 3 homes in Boulder county started a small, mostly handyman business in the Evergreen area. That business grew and I now have a thriving business (Turtle Creek Builders, Inc) that specializes in inovative renovations throughout the front range. Each year has been better than the previous exclusively through repeat customers and referrals. The business occupies much time with the rest dedicated to family, friends, and playing music in a band (For Common Good) where I write songs, sing, and play guitar. This is my true passion, but no plans to quit the day job.

Other interests are skiing, eeing music, traveling.

I'm blessed to still have both parents living near by in Centennial. My sister, her husband, and 3 kids are in Georgetown.
